Keep it
A short care guide.
Fashion jewellery is meant to be worn. A few habits keep the finish closer to the day it arrived.
-
Last on, first off
Perfume, hairspray, and lotion go on first. Let them dry. Then the jewellery. At night, it comes off before cleanser.
-
Water is the enemy of shine
Take pieces off for the shower, the sea, and the gym. Moisture sits in clasps and behind stones, even on anti-tarnish finishes.
-
Give each piece its own corner
Chains tangle, and stones scratch gold-tone metal. A pouch, a box, or even a clean handkerchief is enough. The jewellery box on this site is for remembering. The real one is a drawer.
-
Wipe, don’t soak
A soft dry cloth after wearing is the whole routine. Skip toothpaste, silver dip, and ultrasonic cleaners unless we have told you a piece can take them.
Anti-tarnish
A finish, not a spell.
Anti-tarnish pieces resist the usual dulling from air and skin. They still prefer to stay dry, and they still like a cloth at the end of the day. If a finish ever looks tired, write to us before you try to polish it.
If something gives
Tell us early.
A loose stone, a clasp that feels soft, a kada with a nick. Write to us with a photograph and the piece name. We would rather see it while it is a small repair.
